A Blog from a Dog |
|
This is the blog of a spoiled, pampered dog living in suburbia. She will tell you about all of her adventures. She doesn't quite know how good she has it since being rescued from the pound from her masters Melanie and Sean. Sarah's page Site Feed McGurr.com |

I'm Still Here Hi folks. I got to enjoy snow today for the first time this winter. Lots of fun for me. I think Sean finally figured out why my blog wasn't working, so here's hoping I can post more often. Thursday, October 26, 2006
I haven't written for a while, but things are good with me. I love hanging around with the Ladies McGurr (look for me sneaking into pictures on their blog). A few weeks ago I had my teeth cleaned. I spent the day at the vet and they put me under for a bit. When I woke up, I was a bit groggy, but eventually came around. The good news is that my teeth are nice and clean and I get a specially bone a couple of times a week to keep them that way. Wednesday, July 13, 2005
Site Feed My master created a site feed for this site if you want to know when it is updated. Be sure to subscribe here. It's Been A While Since I last wrote, Melanie and Sean brought another child into the house, Bettie, and moved me to Urbana. Our new house has a much bigger yard than our old place and a bunch of rabbits and squirrels that are foolish enough to come traipsing through.Yesterday I went and saw my new vet. I didn't realize where I was at first, but quickly recognized what the doctor in the white coat was there for. I had my blood taken to ensure I didn't have heartworms and was weighed and poked and prodded. Everything was fine, but I think I heard that they want to see me again to clean my teeth. That doesn't sound fun. Over Fourth of July, I went with the family to Slippery Rock for the annual Steak Fry. While I still had to share attention with the girls, I had fun and was spoiled by the family. Melanie's nephew Mikey took these cool pictures of me. Aren't I cute?Wednesday, January 05, 2005
At Donna's House This weekend Melanie, Sean and Maddie went away so I went over to stay at my Aunt Donna’s place. For the most part I had a good time. I tricked her into taking me on many walks by making her feel sorry for me that she didn’t have a back yard I could go out and play in. She is such a sucker!! The walks were really nice. It was a new place for me and she let me stop all the time and smell everything! I even met some nice people who pet me so I just lay on my back while they rubbed my belly and said how good I was! It was wonderful! She gave me lots of treats because I wasn’t eating my regular food and she didn’t want me to go hungry. I also was able to eat some of food she put out for those stupid cats. They do eat some yummy stuff! Which brings me to the only bad thing about staying at Aunt Donna’s this weekend. She has two cats that do not like me very much and I don’t know why. I was just laying there and they would come up to me like they wanted to play, but when I got up, they would hiss at me. She did yell at them though and then she would pet me, so I guess it wasn’t all that bad. I was very excited to get home to my own place though. I was a little scared that Pepper was going to be mean to me too, but she was the same nice cat she always is. It was even more exciting when Melanie, Sean and Maddie got home. It was a fun weekend, but there is no place like home! Friday, October 29, 2004
My New Friend Maddie It's been a crazy few weeks here. Unexpectedly (for me at least, Sean and Melanie seem to expect it) there is a new addition in the house: Madeline Wen. Here is a picture of me meeting her for the first time:
Even though she seems to get lots more attention than me, I love her a lot. I lick her all the time (no Chinese food jokes please) and often she has food on her fingers. I can't wait until she starts dropping food for me on the floor. We go on walks together and the kids in the neighborhood still give me lots of attention. Last weekend, I took her on her first Mutt March. It was one of my favorites, the Easton Halloween Mutt March. She dressed up as a pumpkin and I dressed up as a Capital Area Humane Society dog (t-shirt and bandana). They gave me lots of treats, including a new Buddy stuffed animal, bandana and frisbee. We saw lots of dogs and it was a nice day. Look forward to more adventures with me and Maddie.Monday, August 30, 2004
Westerville Mutt March Last Friday, Melanie and Sean took me on a Mutt March in Westerville, Ohio. This was the third annual Mutt March during Westerville's Dog Days of Summer and my third time attending. I'm a veteran! This year Mel and Sean's friends, Joe and Carrie, brought their dog Tori with them. We all had a lot of fun and the weather ended up being nice (a bit sticky, but at least it didn't rain). There are Mutt Marches the next few weekends and then the fun Halloween March at Easton. I hope to hit a couple of them. Saturday, July 31, 2004
Major Excitement My friend Sarah the Pug from across the street is visiting this morning. I also found out that Melanie and Sean have news about their adoption. Check out the Adoption Journal for full details. |
