The Manuscript Begins

A few technical difficulties delayed us some, but the first installment of "The Manuscript" is up. Look for new pages every Wednesday.

Site Updates

In anticipation of the launch of "The Manuscript" tomorrow, there have been a few minor changes to the site. The navigation for the Web comic is ready. The store is updated with a new Paypal shopping cart feature to make purchases easier (hint, hint). And there has been some cleaning up of the other pages.

Also, in a few weeks, we'll be launching another Web comic, "Here Nor There," with artist Tim McClurg. More details soon.

Teaser #4 and Title

Earlier this week I posted the fourth and final teaser for the Web comic. Today I posted the title page. As you can see, the title is The Manuscript. We kickoff the story next week on January 3rd. Be sure to come back.

Teaser #3 Is Up!

I just finished posting the third teaser for the Web comic I'm doing with Steve Black. Look for the fourth teaser next week (along with the title reveal) and the first installment the first week of January.

Script Writing

I wrote a couple more pages of the script for the Web comic today. I have a decent idea of where I want the story to end up, and I had spent so much time thinking about the beginning of the story that I was able to tear through that in one sitting, but now I'm having a harder time getting through the middle part.

I also have to consider the format of the story more than I did originally. I had first conceived of this story as a single-issue comic. Now that Steve and I are presenting it as a Web comic, I feel more of a need to make each page/installment interesting of its own accord and with enough suspense to keep a reader coming back the following week.

I'm still excited by the project. Steve's art has really inspired me to make this story work.
